Joan - pg 3

Joan Risley is re-creating Spencer in porcelain.  She is an accomplished artist with a great deal of skill in this area. Here are the pictures of ‘works in progress’.
Spencer was poured in Seeley’s Natural.  Now the porcelain will be scrubbed until it is as smooth as a baby’s...well, you know. He will get a sudsy bath and a good drying, then the china painting will begin. The above pictures is Spencer Gordon Lewis before the painting.  Below is Spencer with china painting added.

Look at this wonderful outfit Joan purchased off of Ebay for Spencer.  Carol from Precious Peaches Nursery's Newest Reborn Berenguer - Lainey Joy donated the wig for Spencer. Carol Green/Newborns in Need donated the white hand crocheted afghan and baby bracelet..
Here I am again.

Now you know what I will be,

Tell me what you think of me!!!!!

You know who!!!

Hi Brenda and family,

It was a joy in my heart to create Spencer for you. When I first started him, I asked God to help me mold this precious little one, since He had already done it once, it would be easier the second time around. I closed my eyes and took the soft, wet, greenware from the mold and started gently applying pressure to reshape the little face. What you see, is what God guided my hands to accomplish. I was only the tool, God was the Creater.. I asked guidance every step of the way. So I truly feel, it was God who created both Spencers,. the one you are holding now and the one you will hold in your heart , forever.

God Bless you and your family. I am proud to be called your sister.

Hugs,
Joan

As you can read above, Joan is a very special person, she reaches out with the unconditional love Jesus gives to us as we are willing to be more like him.  You can imagine how amazed I was to receive this email from Joan:

Hi Carol,

I was just playing around while John and I were watching football. I did this, and thought, oh my, that looks like someone. I showed it to John and he said, yes it looked like a baby we had seen, but, he could not pin point it either.

Finally, I came to my computer, opened up my gallery, and look who's picture popped up. What do you think?

Hugs, Joan

I responded with: “Pretty impressive! You are very good and have captured Spencer's likeness.”

Hugs, Carol

Joan immediately shipped this wonderful miniature scuplt of Spencer to me to give to the Lewis family. When he arrived, I sent her this email:  “Oh,  I am so excited *jumping up and down and running around the room* Spencer arrived this afternoon and 15 minutes later was in the hands of Jack to take home to Brenda.”

“My gosh, he was so impressed with the baby and asked me for your address to write you a thank you letter.”

“There is a special place in heaven for wonderful angels like you. You have blessed the Spencer's life exceedingly and they are so grateful for it. You are so gifted and I love how you allow the Lord to work through you.”

Love and hugs
Carol

Joan’s beautiful reply:

Oh Carol, You are so sweet. I am thrilled that the Lord has chosen me to do some of his wonderful work, no matter how small.

I am so happy to hear Jack was pleased with the tiny Spencer.

The Lord is using this little guy in such a special way. How honored they must feel, that God entrusted them with the care of such a special little Angel. I am so thankful for you, for bringing him to our attention. God has designated you also, as a special messenger. When you think of it, we are all a team, , with Spencer Captaining the ship.

Hugs to all,
Joan
